The Karma Effect 2026

The Karma Effect have today treated fans to ‘Dangerous Love,’ the brand new single taken from the South London rockers’ highly-anticipated new album ‘Cruel Intentions,’ which will be released on 15 th May 2026 (via Earache Records).

‘Dangerous Love’ captures the euphoric energy of the South London rockers’ self-professed ‘modern vintage’ sound and follows the initial pre-Christmas glimpse of the Top 20 British band’s new material in the shape of swaggering ‘70s horn-drenched stormer ‘Waiting On A Miracle’ (which was voted Classic Rock magazine’s Track Of The Week and was one of Planet Rock Radio’s Top 10 most-played tracks in December).

‘Dangerous Love’ was one of the first tracks to emerge in summer 2025 during the ‘Cruel Intentions’ album sessions at the Hive Rooms, in the shadow of Gatwick Airport. At its core, the song explores the thrill and torment of falling for someone you know you shouldn't - that magnetic pull toward a love that feels wrong but is impossible to resist. It captures the inner conflict of trying to suppress emotion, only to fall into the same passionate trap again and again. Sonically, the single leans into a darker, more seductive energy. A gritty, sleazy guitar riff drives the track, building toward an anthemic, shout-it-out chorus made to be screamed in the heat of the moment. Lustful, raw and dripping with emotion, the song channels the spirit of vintage 70s rock

& roll while carving out its own bold, modern edge.

As The Karma Effect’s powerhouse vocalist Henry Gottelier explains, “It’s about doing things you shouldn’t do, but you can’t stop yourself doing; passion overtaking your senses and your mind getting away from you.”

As well as unveiling their new single today, The Karma Effect have also announced a number of new UK live shows for 2026.

The five-piece have just confirmed an exclusive album launch show which will take place at Tunbridge Wells’ The Forum on Friday 15th May. A short 33min train hop from London Bridge, tickets for this special live date (which also features special guests Departed) are on-sale now here.

The Karma Effect are also pleased to announce they will play an intimate free Acoustic Session at The Gibson Garage in central London on Thursday 5 th February (2:00pm start) – fans will be admitted to this free acoustic performance on a first come, first served basis (up to the venue’s 250 capacity) and can apply to be added to

the event’s guest list via Earache Records’ official The Karma Effect/Gibson Garage application form here.

“We want every show to feel massive,” says Henry. “The way I've always written music and performed is with the objective of: ‘How can we take what we do to this club full of people and make them feel like they're watching something in a giant outdoor arena in New Jersey’, or something like that.”

As previously announced, The Karma Effect’s highly-anticipated forthcoming third album ‘Cruel Intentions’ boasts eleven rollicking new anthems (or twelve if you cadge the bonus edition), including singles ‘Waiting On A Miracle’ and ‘Dangerous Love.’ The new long-player’s May 2026 release follows 2024’s surprise Top 20 album ‘Promised Land’, a record that saw the band striding confidently into their role as one of British guitar music’s most exciting outfits.

The new album is a collection which captures the visceral atmosphere of the band’s lauded live performances and is without a doubt the most complete, crystal clear realisation of the band’s ambitions yet: leaner, louder, heavier and joyously larger-than-life. Exploring love, lust and danger, with dark passion and flashes of cheekiness, these new songs balance swagger and wit. The band’s modus operandi is ‘modern vintage,’ a desire to polish up the retro sounds they were raised on into something gleaming and modern.

This album is the culmination of everything we have," says Henry. While collaborating again with producer Michael Charman, we brought in Mercury and GRAMMY nominated Romesh Dodangoda specifically for the mix, because we were obsessed with making every single note count. The result is a sound so big, it’s a stadium experience for your ears.

Whilst the official Earache store completely sold out of all signed vinyl LP pre-order album formats within hours, a limited-edition new blue vinyl LP edition has just been added and is available now (whilst stocks last).
