Scottish singer-songwriter Blair Davie (they/them) today releases their new single, ‘When You Fall In Love’, out now via Giant Music. Listen here.
Blair’s rich vocals open “When You Fall In Love,” immediately drawing the listener into a deeply personal story. The song explores the dialogue between past and future selves - a future Blair, saved and transformed by love, reaching back to comfort and reassure their past, heartbroken self. Released alongside a brand new music video, the track invites audiences into Blair’s intimate space, bridging the gap between despair and hope. Through the visuals and lyrics, we travel with Blair on this emotional journey, experiencing their signature blend of heartfelt, impassioned songwriting and the profound power of love to heal.
Speaking on the track, Blair Davie says “‘When You Fall In Love' is a letter to the version of me and to others that have felt so hopeless and lost. Keep pushing, it does get better. I wanted the video to portray someone getting ready to go out and face the world, to try and find the love that would go on to heal their wounds. It’s a brave and scary thing to do.”
This marks Blair’s first release of what is sure to be an important 2026. It comes off the back of Blair playing two support slots for James Arthur, opening shows for him at London’s The O2, as well as Glasgow’s OVO Hydro.
Last year saw Blair reach a number of new milestones, many of which through their EP, ‘First And Last’. Featuring beloved tracks such as ‘Coming Back Babe’, title-track ‘First and Last’ and ‘Wouldn’t Be Right’, this EP led to acclaim from critics and fans alike, with the Daily Telegraph, Clash, Wonderland and Official Charts all amongst its supporters.
With two performances at this year’s SXSW, and two headline shows in London and Glasgow respectively already sold-out for May, 2026 is shaping up to be a huge year for one of Scotland’s brightest emerging talents.
Blair Davie’s story is one of perseverance. After introducing themselves with a flurry of exciting singles, including the highly-praised ‘Stairs’, ‘Platform 10’, and ‘Him, Hymn’, London-based Scottish born and raised singer-songwriter Blair Davie has been tipped as one of the most anticipated new artists on the rise right now. A seasoned performer, they have been writing music and fronting bands since they were a teenager. Blair’s rise can be pinpointed to the honesty and strength of their songwriting, as well as having one of those rare voices that has the power to speak to our very souls. This talent has not gone unnoticed, with them receiving Amazon Music’s UK Rising Star Award, alongside an Ivor Novello Award nomination, at aged just 23.
Blair has amassed 40K followers (across Instagram and TikTok), been officially playlisted on Spotify, toured the UK and Europe with the likes of JP Cooper, Emile Sande, Sam Fischer and Fatherson, played Great Escape, Live at Leeds, Belladrum and Sziget festivals, was the face of Zermatt Unplugged festival and sold out both London’s Laylow and Slaughtered Lamb.
