Cardboard to release self-titled garage rock debut LP on Friday 7th November
Launch party at The George Tavern this Friday
London four-piece Cardboard will release their raucous and spiky garage-rock debut long player this week. On Friday, their self-titled album drops and is full of intense adrenaline rushes, thrilling chaotic energy and visceral thrills. Gigging intensely across London, they’ve sold-out shows at all the right venues, The Lexington, The Shacklewell Arms and Sebright Arms, making the stage their own in process and becoming known as one of the most exciting, raw party bands in town.

About Cardboard -
London-based rabble-rousers Cardboard have been stirring up chaos since 2021, having first met as teenagers at college. Having formed from the fated no-show of a bassist and drummer for their first rehearsal, Dan Hacker (vocals, guitar) and Chris Clapham (guitar, vocals) recruited the missing pieces: Louis Bultitude on bass and Dan Rowson on drums. The full lineup clicked into place, and Cardboard was born.
With a sound that crashes together grungy indie-rock and brazen, youthful defiance, Cardboard have carved out a space in London’s thriving live circuit. Drawing on the swagger of Queens of the Stone Age, the sharp edge of The Strokes, and the grit of Arctic Monkeys, their gigs are electric—buzzing with frantic crowds, raw emotion, and a dose of coming-of-age nostalgia.
They’ve since followed it up with ‘Pipe Dream’, the first taste of an upcoming album recorded at Stable Bone Studios, further expanding their sonic arsenal.
Cardboard have already headlined some of London’s most iconic indie venues, (Camden Assembly, The George Tavern, The Lexington) including a headline at The Sebright Arms for Independent Venue Week 2025.
Praised by Glitch Magazine for their “incredible, energetic atmosphere,” four-piece is already catching ears across the scene, with features from So Young, Dork, and Daily Music Report. Their single, ‘Wouldn’t Let You Realise’ hailed by So Young as “instantly capturing your full attention” and promises to “create even more of an adrenaline rush live”. With each release, Cardboard’s storm is only getting louder.
