& ANNOUNCES HIS FORTHCOMING ALBUM ‘TYBER’ AND INTERNATIONAL TOUR
Accomplished French multi-instrumentalist, singer and producer FKJ returns with his new single ‘Soulmates’, alongside the announcement of his forthcoming third studio album ‘Tyber’, due for release this Autumn, and an extensive headline tour across Europe, America and Canada, with additional dates to be revealed in the coming months.
‘'Soulmates’ is about embracing your solitude” says FKJ. “For me, solitude really works, and I'm taking time with myself. But I really care about my soulmates, the people in my life who are important to me. It’s all about finding the balance.”
An artist whose work exists between timeless musicianship and experimentation, FKJ has built a singular musical world that blurs the worlds of jazz, soul, classical, hip-hop, funk, rock and electronic influences. As a result, his music continues to connect with a global audience drawn to both its technical intricacy and intimate atmosphere.
‘Soulmates’ arrives as the first glimpse into ‘Tyber’ - a project that captures a period of personal and creative transformation following the release of his acclaimed album ‘V I N C E N T’. Written and recorded across multiple continents, the album reflects years spent navigating movement, solitude, collaboration and renewal. Sessions took place in London, Los Angeles, Paris, Brazil and Mexico, with each location subtly shaping the sonic identity of the record.
The result is FKJ at his most expansive and uninhibited. Across ‘Tyber’, groove-driven compositions sit alongside jazz-led instrumentals, sample-heavy explorations and more direct songwriting moments, moving seamlessly through funk, alt-pop, R&B and psychedelic textures without ever losing cohesion. The album feels both deeply personal and globally informed, spotlighting an artist documenting his evolution in real time.
New single ‘Soulmates’ embodies that spirit. Warm, immersive and rhythmically fluid, the track highlights FKJ’s instinctive approach to composition while offering a natural introduction to the wider world of ‘Tyber’. It is music rooted equally in technical musicianship and emotional immediacy, which is a balance that has become central to his appeal.
Accompanying the release is an official music video, directed by Balan Evans. "Working with FKJ and his team has been a lot of fun, me and Vincent developed a creative shorthand very quickly, working through ideas and adapting them on set.” Evans shares. “I had also been tackling the need for boredom in a creative life so the themes rang true to me. It was the perfect kind of collaboration with an artist and I think that shows in the final film."
