+ AUTUMN UK/EU TOUR DATES ANNOUNCED

Australian new wave/post-punk band Radio Free Alice are pleased to announce their debut album What’s In Between, available 30th October via Atlantic Records. Today’s announcement is heralded by ‘Crying With You’ and the news of Autumn UK/EU tour dates.

“It’s a huge relief to finally announce the album,” vocalist Noah Learmonth says of the announcement. “We’ve lived with these songs for such a long time and they’ve become such a big part of our lives, so knowing there’s now a date when they’ll finally exist outside of us feels incredibly cathartic.”

“We wrote ‘Crying With You’ whilst on a writing retreat in Joshua Tree in California,” he continues. “We were staying at this beautiful property owned by producer Nicolas Vernhes, surrounded by desert and Joshua trees for about a week and recorded a handful of demos and jams. The verse and chorus were originally different songs, but we stitched them together, which is something we like to do quite a lot”

The new single and the album at large sees the band continue their work across continents with producer Peter Katis [Interpol, Death Cab for Cutie, The National]. Ewan Pearson [Depeche Mode, M83] and Finn Billingham [HighSchool, Sam Akpro] also contribute production across What’s In Between.

Having moved to Melbourne from their native Sydney aged 18 to pursue music full time, Radio Free Alice were soon selling out residencies and inciting queues around the block before taking their brand of hook heavy post-punk on the road across the UK and Europe. A summer 2025 visit to London saw the quartet selling out six headline shows within a month; as excitement spread across the pond to USA, where they have continued their ascent in collaboration with Atlantic Records. Debut album What’s In Between more than justifies the insatiable hype, delivering well-observed, combustive earworms to an increasingly fervent, increasingly global fanbase.

Last month, on 19th August, Radio Free Alice played a free, DIY pop-up show in London, with over 500 fans turning up to a Bermondsey railway bridge on 6hrs’ notice to catch the band’s sundown performance.

‘Crying With You’ follows ‘Kick in the Shins’, a frenzied stumble through whatever life deals the band on any given day, driven by Learmonth’s quick-witted storytelling and punctuated by the sharp uppercut of Michael Phillips’ saxophone.

Earlier in the summer, Radio Free Alice made their debut release on Atlantic Records with the single ‘Lunch Money’. That weekend, they went on to make their debut Gov Ball performance in NYC along with a sold-out after-show at Baby’s All Right.

The band is currently in the midst of playing a massive run of summer festivals, performing at Reading this weekend before a return to the states for Riot Fest and Austin City Limits. Radio Free Alice cap today’s bumper announcement with the news that they’ll tour UK and Europe in November 2026 to bring What’s In Between to their snowballing fanbase.
