LOVE KRAFT - 20TH ANNIVERSARY ALBUM RE-ISSUE – OUT NOW

Super Furry Animals announcement of their first live dates in a decade led to over 30,000 tickets selling out within hours. Fans of the offbeat Welsh legends have another chance to catch their return as they are announced to headline Bristol Sounds on Wed 24 June 2026. Currently the first and only festival date announced by the Furries, tickets for the appearance, under an hour by train from the band’s home city of Cardiff, go on general sale on Fri 14 November 2025 at 10am.

Super Furry Animals’ return to the city for Bristol Sounds, their first since playing the O2 Academy in December 2016.

The first to be announced as support for Super Furry Animals at Bristol Sounds, which sees legendary and emerging artists take over the iconic Bristol Harbourside over the traditional Glastonbury weekend are Bristol disco rock duo, Getdown Services and Welsh/Cornish art-pop singer-songwriter, Gwenno.

With a strong community of fans based in the South West of England, from their Minehead homeland to Bristol itself, Getdown Services are expected to bring the party. The lively duo of Josh Law and Ben Sadler, it was their 2023 debut album, Crisps, that first grabbed listeners with their eclectic, danceable grooves and astute, hilarious put-downs of modern Britain. Following the release of November’s Your Medal’s In The Post EP, boosted by extensive BBC 6 Music support, tickets for their shows at home and abroad have become rare commodities. They join the Furries for all of their announced 2026 tour dates except London.

Nominated for the Welsh Music Prize in 2015 for her debut solo album Y Dydd Olaf and shortlisted for the Mercury Music Prize in 2022 for her third album, Tresor, Gwenno’s pioneering approach to multi-lingual songwriting has continued into this year’s reflective Utopia album, released in July on Heavenly Recordings.

The Bristol Sounds’ 2026 announced line-up also includes The Kooks, celebrating 20 years of their era-defining album, Inside In/Inside Out, two sold out nights with The Streets performing A Grand Don’t Come For Free in full and Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark (OMD). The full concert series takes place from June 23rd - 28th 2026, and tickets can be found at: https://bristolsounds.seetickets.com/tour/bristol-sounds

Additional to their long-awaited return to the stage, Super Furry Animals reissued their seventh studio album, Love Kraft, on Cardiff independent label, Strangetown Records, with the band issuing a low stock warning on all physical formats.

OUT NOW on double vinyl and 2CD formats in updated packaging alongside digital, the Love Kraft 20th Anniversary Reissue - Remastered includes the album’s original 12-tracks in freshly remastered form, while the total number of rarities spread across CD and digital versions totals 23 tracks. One of those tracks, the long-lost Rock N Roll Flu (“It’s a song about one of the very worst hangovers I have ever had.” – Daf Ieuan) was celebrated with a standalone release, receiving unexpected radio support including repeated BBC 6 Music, Radio X and Absolute Radio play.

The release features the original, meticulously built diorama design by long-time collaborator, the artist, Pete Fowler, while the final sleeve design again comes courtesy of Mark James. Love Kraft was compiled with the enduring support of band archivist, Kliph Scurlock and remastered by Donal Whelan at Hafod Mastering.
