2025 was a year in which dreams came true and years of independent hard work paid off for Birmingham’s new indie-rock heroes The Clause. Their debut album ‘Victim of a Casual Thing’ shot straight to #1 on the Official Independent Album Charts and simultaneously hit #19 on the UK Official Albums Chart. But there’s another landmark moment to come before the year is out as the band will play their biggest headline show to date at the 3000-capacity O2 Academy Birmingham.
Standing tickets for the show are already sold-out, but very limited seats remain available HERE.
The night will also see The Clause host a raffle to win a bespoke piece of artwork made by Smashed Hits. The Birmingham-based artist, real name Kirk Whitehouse, specialises in creating broken vinyl portraits of rock ‘n’ rollers - and turned his attention to what he calls “Birmingham’s greatest rising band” for his latest project. Fans can enter the raffle by buying a £5 ticket at the merch stand at the Birmingham show. All proceeds go to benefit foodbanks in Birmingham, and a winner will be revealed next Monday (?).
Vocalist/guitarist Pearce Macca says, “To celebrate our biggest ever show to 3000 people at the Birmingham O2 Academy, we’ve teamed up with Smashed Hits to make this special one-off piece of artwork that’s made from out of smashed-up vinyl of our debut album. It’s beautiful. We will raffle this off at the show on Friday. All of the proceeds will go to foodbanks in Birmingham, so get involved and we can send some money to people who really need it this Christmas time.”
2026 is shaping up to be another epic year for The Clause. They recently announced a tour in conjunction with Independent Venue Week which is already almost sold-out, while their second leg of touring in support of ‘Victim of a Casual Thing’ gets underway in March with shows across the UK, Europe and Ireland. Their summer festival schedule is also coming together nicely, with a headline set at This Feeling By The Sea and dates at In It Together, Tramlines and Y NOT? already confirmed. Remaining tickets for the shows are available HERE.
