Revered as one of the UK’s most beloved festival weekends, Truck Festival returns in 2026 with its biggest edition to date - packing summer memories and a home for all ages into a weekend stacked with a who’s who in the indie and alternative music world whilst bursting with laugh-out-loud character. Becoming a true rite of passage and indisputably the best value festival ticket of the entire UK season, 2026 looks primed to capture everything which has made Truck such a standout of the festival summer. Incredible bands, an unrivalled atmosphere and a feeling that can’t be touched no matter the time of the weekend. There’s a reason why so many talk about Truck Festival, now it’s time to see why.

Announced today is the first wave of names confirmed to head to Hill Farm this summer, including FIVE headliners spanning the weekend - capturing the indie scene across different eras and moments. After reuniting this year, The Maccabees make their long-awaited Truck debut headlining the festival in 2026. One of the most acclaimed bands of the 2000s, The Maccabees stand as a vital pillar of the British guitar scene with an arsenal of classics and their own distinct sound inspiring singalongs and influencing generations in equal measure. The likes of ‘Pelican’, ‘Can You Give It’, Love You Better’, ‘Marks To Prove It’, ‘Latchmere’ and more have come to define the modern indie landscape - making them a band that flows through the veins of Truck. A headline moment for the ages, The Maccabees at Truck Festival 2026 is unmissable. Also stacked with anthems born for summer festival singalongs, Two Door Cinema Club return to Truck Festival celebrating 15 years of their seminal debut album ‘Tourist History’. A band who have led the way for a generation, the Bangor trio mark the album that started it all alongside all their greatest hits - with a live show that has seen thousands upon thousands gather close to throw themselves into tracks like ‘What You Know’, ‘Undercover Martyn’, ‘I Can Talk’, ‘Something Good Can Work’ and so much more.

Truck is THE place for bands and artists to celebrate their crowning moments with the scene and crowd that have supported them from the very beginning. Making her headline debut, CMAT brings her Very Sexy CMAT Band to Truck Festival on the Thursday night to mark an incredible 12 months that has seen her become a global national treasure. With the ability to capture giant festival crowds in the palm of her hand, CMAT’s rise to the very top is primed to be one of those ‘I Was There’ moments with Truck moving in unison to a modern great. Closing the festival on Sunday night is a co-headline celebration of the ages. Pioneers and one of the most important UK bands of the 21st century The Libertines take to the Truck stage with their unpredictable and thrilling live show that calls across their career to date. ‘Don’t Look Back Into The Sun’, ‘Can’t Stand Me Now’, ‘Run Run Run’, ‘What Became Of The Likely Lads’, ‘Time For Heroes’ and so much more have become beacons of the indie world - when Pete, Carl, Gary and John head to Hill Farm this summer it’ll mark a singalong celebration. Likewise, The Wombats bring their arena-sized bangers to Truck Festival this summer for a band who continue to get bigger and bigger. Latest album ‘Oh! The Ocean’ saw them elevate even further, and with a back catalogue that includes ‘Moving To New York’, ‘Kill The Director’, ‘Greek Tragedy’, ‘Lemon To A Knife Fight’ and more - The Wombats are the feel-good headliner where having a good time is a guarantee. Get the Wombat costumes ready.

Speaking about headlining Truck Festival 2026, The Wombats’ Dan Haggis says:

“We’ve played Truck a few times now and it never disappoints, it’s always a highlight of our summer and we’re so excited to be back headlining it again in 2026! See you there.”

These headliners lead a jam-packed lineup pulling across all eras - gathered together for a weekend unrivalled and unmissable in every sense of the word. Truck icons The Vaccines return to the festival as Special Guests, playing a special set marking 15 years of their debut album ‘What Did You Expect From The Vaccines’ whilst one of the best live bands in the country Kaiser Chiefs come to Truck for a set lead by their unmistakable frontman Ricky Wilson. The iconic Primal Scream take to the Truck stage for a momentous set marking a band who have constantly looked to innovate at each turn, as have The Cribs - the Jarman brothers ready to tear Truck to pieces in the best way possible with the likes of ‘Mens Needs’, ‘I’m A Realist’, ‘Hey Scenesters!’ and much more. With Everything Everything, Circa Waves and Friendly Fires also announced, it ensures Truck Festival is the weekend where the best indie playlist on the planet comes to the real world.

Yet what makes Truck so essential is its calling card as the go-to festival weekend to catch the bands defining the here and now. After a momentous rise over the past 12 months, Keo come to Truck for a set that’s sure to cement their spot as one of the most essential bands of modern times whilst Florence Road touch down on their path to superstardom - after a landmark set in 2025 and a year that has seen them capture something special. Mercury Prize winners English Teacher head to Truck with a must-watch live show, The Royston Club show just why they’ve become beloved indie trailblazers whilst The K’s take their storming indie-rock to new levels for a set of huge festival anthems. Joined by the likes of Getdown Services, Lottery Winners,, Brooke Combe, Willie J Healey, Black Honey, Radio Free Alice, Westside Cowboy, Adult DVD, Freddie Halkon, Good Health Good Wealth, Etta Marcus, Joe & The Shitboys, Silver Gore, Bleach 9:3 and many more - it’s clear why Truck Festival remains the date in the diary that bands and fans circle as a must to define the year.

Speaking about Truck Festival 2026, John Dell - Head Of Marketing - said:

“We’re absolutely buzzing to announce the first wave of names for Truck 2026 after such an incredible demand already for tickets, bringing together some legends who’ve been responsible for Truck memories over the years as well as standout names we’ve been wanting to have at our warped party for years. To welcome a reformed The Maccabees to Truck is a real bucket list moment for us and to have CMAT back to claim her rightful spot as a UK festival headliner after 2025’s unforgettable set is going to be a really special occasion that shows the journey Truck has been on with countless artists. Every year when curating the festival’s lineup, we have the Truck faithful firmly in our mind - and with so many heavyweight names who’ve blazed a trail in our scene heading to Hill Farm in 2026 we’re more assured than ever that we have the best indie summer playlist going.Next year’s festival is going to be an all-timer and we’ve got a whole load more surprises and fun to announce, but until then - lets get excited. We’ll see you there!”

Truck Festival boasts a frankly ridiculous line-up of every artist and every band you simply have to see right now - a capsule of everything shaking things up for a fresh new generation. Coming together in one place over one weekend, it makes Truck truly vital each and every year for a generation of music fans. Truck Festival shows once again why it’s THE only place to capture the sound of right now across one enthralling weekend.

With today’s names just a snapshot of the wider Truck 2026 picture, it marks a welcome return for one of the most beloved UK festivals around. With a leading reputation as the go-to destination for the best in new alternative music, Truck’s larger than life village vibe rings true. Perfect for all ages, it’s a moment once a year to gather within a like-minded community in love with the experience of being together for one special weekend.
