The high-energy Irish guitar quintet, Gurriers, today release their new single “Erasure” on No Filter - their first new music since their critically acclaimed debut album, Come and See.

Recorded with debut album collaborator Alex Greaves and mixed by Pelle Gunnerfeldt (Viagra Boys, The Hives), “Erasure”, which was premiered by Huw Stephens on BBC Radio 6 Music, is call and response rock music at its most incendiary. Already a live favourite, “Erasure” features all the heavy dynamics people have come to love from Gurriers with Pelle bringing some serious low end heft to the song and pushing the band on to new sonic heights.

Speaking on the new track, vocalist Dan Hoff says: “Erasure is a chaotic mash of genres, an unwavering cry into the void in the face of imperialism and tyranny”.

“Erasure” also comes with a Black Mirror-esque video directed by “Top Of The Bill” director Adam Hart, set in the office of a shadowy security agency.

Since the release of Come and See, Gurriers have completed two sold-out tours across the UK, Ireland and much of Europe, including a landmark night at London’s Scala. The band has continued to make their mark on the live circuit, drawing huge crowds at major festivals such as All Together Now and Beyond The Pale in Ireland, Glastonbury, Truck, and most recently, Green Man in the UK as well as Rock Werchter, Down The Rabbit Hole, Haldern Pop and Paredes de Coura in Belgium, Holland, Germany and Portugal respectively. Just last week, they played to a packed Projekts Skatepark in Manchester.

Today, Gurriers announce a new run of live shows in the UK, with dates in Bristol, Leeds and Glasgow already sold out, and upgraded venues in Oxford and Cambridge due to overwhelming demand. They have also been confirmed as main support for Kneecap’s headline show at Wembley Arena on 18 September, following previous support slots at Kneecap’s sold-out shows at Belfast’s SSE Arena, Dublin’s Fairview Park and Galway’s Heineken Big Top.

In addition, Gurriers have announced a December run in Ireland, with 2 shows at Dublin’s Button Factory with each sold out in a day along with shows in Cork, and Belfast. Looking further ahead, the band will return to North America in March 2026 for their first full tour, building on the buzz they created as one of the standout acts at SXSW in Austin earlier this year.

The band have also announced they will return to mainland Europe in December with dates in Brussels, Paris, Hamburg, Berlin, Cologne and Heidelberg.

Also today the band have announced that Irish bands Nerves will support the band on their UK run in October and Theatre (who toured the UK with Gurriers earlier this year) will support the band through mainland Europe in December.

Released in 2024 to widespread acclaim, Gurriers’ debut album, Come and See, showcased a searing counterattack on the malaise of the modern age. As the end of the first quarter of the 21st century inches ever closer, our planet precariously teeters from one crisis to the next. Rather than passively sit back and watch, Gurriers met this moment head-on with an album of raucous reflection, uncompromising in both sound and sentiment.

Come and See explored a wide spectrum of urgent themes: the end of the world, the disenfranchised youth of Dublin, emigrant friends, the rise of the far right, desensitisation to violence, a pope struggling with belief, and love in uncertain times.

Taking their name from an antiquated and somewhat charming Irish term for lout, ruffian, or street urchin, Gurriers are Dan Hoff on lead vocals, Ben O'Neill on guitar and backing vocals, Mark MacCormack on guitar, Pierce Callaghan on drums and Charlie McCarthy on bass and backing vocals.
