Tom Grennan Ignites Liverpool with Intimate, Emotional Album Launch at Camp and Furnace
Tom Grennan

*An evening of energy, emotion and even an engagement as Tom Grennan kicked off his new album launch in Liverpool.*

Turning the corner into Baltic Triangle, Liverpool we were met with an excited crowd snaking around the entire Camp and Furnace building. Clearly this was the place to be in Liverpool tonight.

As the doors opened, revellers swelled into the venue like someone had put a plug in the place - girls racing to find their all-important spot at the barrier. When Tom bounded onto the stage with the cry of ‘Liverpool Champions’ the crowd roared like they were at a football match. Red or blue - it didn’t matter - everyone was team Grennan tonight.

Tom opened with the very aptly titled ‘Full Attention’, from his fourth studio album, Everywhere I Went Led Me To Where I Didn’t Want To Be, which is officially released on Friday 15th August 2025, and the album everyone had come to celebrate. The crowd were fully on board from the get go, singing along to his raspy, soaring tones - a faultless first song.

The love-in with Liverpool continued as Tom said ‘Liverpool has a very special place in my heart - it’s been a nine year journey for me so far, and this city has always been special - my best friend’s from Liverpool and his Mum’s here tonight.’

Keeping the energy going, Tom jumped straight into ‘Remind Me’, from his album What, Ifs and Maybes, fully engaging with the audience as he held court front and centre of stage, almost sharing a conversation with the crowd rather than a song - he was only two tracks in and it felt like the encore!

‘These acoustic shows are powerful’, Tom continued, ‘There are no loud drums just energy and pure rhythm.’ Tom celebrated the need and value of venues like Camp & Furnace to live acts and for making live music available to the public around the country.

‘Crown Your Love’, and older song but one of Tom’s favourites brought a special moment to the evening when the band stopped mid track and Tom shouted excitedly ‘Did someone just get engaged - oh my god - go on La!’

Boosted by the gesture at his gig, Tom continued to sing the rest of the song to the happy couple (Dan and Brogen) before saluting them. ‘Amen’ followed and was instantly lapped up by the rowdy congregation, which dutifully belted back the title of the track in all the right places.

Speaking of his latest album, Tom said ‘I’ve been sitting on this album for a while now, it takes me back to when I was 21 when I had a guitar on my back and was playing pubs because I just wanted to perform. The album is also about facing demons, some I’m still facing today but in a nutshell the album speaks of all those things.’

Venturing into another new song ‘Somewhere Only We Go’, Tom gave some insights into his personal life, saying ‘It’s a song about when two friends are so tight and in love but we drifted… don’t hold grudges, I did but I finally let go of that grudge and we’re friends again.’

The crowd listened intently, with no chattering at the back because it was a new song. Tom’s soaring melodic vocals illustrated that the song clearly meant a lot to him and the crowd were still firmly in the palm of his hand.

Taking to the piano for the first time, Tom shared that ‘This is the part of the show that I’m bricking myself about because I’m going to sit at this piano’. Someone in the audience shouted ‘you look sexy at the piano’ to which Tom replied, ‘I’ll take that, but I don’t know about the playing.’ He retorted further “I look like Elton John!” to much mirth from the collective.

For this song, which he shared was about his grandad and ‘one of the most important songs I’ve ever written’, Tom asked for pure quiet so he could imagine himself in his living room, and the crowd obliged as he gave a beautiful solo performance under a single spotlight. The rapturous reaction confirmed it was another winner, and Tom said, I’m actually really buzzing about that. ‘go on lad!’

There then followed a series of crowd pleasers, from the gorgeous duet ‘Let’s Go Home Together’, followed by ‘Found’ which took Tom and the crowd on a trip down memory lane, back to the beginning of his singing career.

Now well into their stride, fans sang the opening of ‘Little Bit of Love’ on their own - an anthem in acoustic, before the night’s finale, another big hitter, ‘Something In the Water’, ending with an impressive solo note finish and more chanting from the Liverpool crowd ‘With you, with you’ and they absolutely were.

‘Thank you Liverpool, you’ve been amazing!’ Amen to that.
