20TH SEPTEMBER 2025 - TICKETS ON SALE NOW
On 20th September 2025, the heart of Madrid will welcome the arrival of Pulse of Gaia, a revolutionary festival concept headlined by Gorillaz and featuring performances from Thundercat, Maceo Plex, EREZ and more to be revealed.
Celebrating an extraordinary 25 years of the group, this special one-off show will be Gorillaz’ only appearance outside the UK this year. Damon Albarn will be joined onstage by the full live band, complete with iconic visuals by Jamie Hewlett, to perform their much-loved hits spanning eight celebrated studio albums.
With their colourful backstory and ground-breaking virtual ways, the band has blazed a trail across 25 glorious years of musical and creative innovation, working with an eye-wateringly exciting roster of collaborators, a list that includes musical legends, geniuses and future stars on eight studio albums from their self-titled debut in 2001 to 2023's Cracker Island.
Joining the celebration are some of the most forward-thinking artists on the planet. Genre-defying virtuoso Thundercat brings his kaleidoscopic fusion of funk, jazz and psychedelia to Pulse of Gaia. A multi-GRAMMY Award-winning artist known for jaw-dropping basslines and astral-level grooves, Thundercat's presence is unmatched.
A true architect of the underground, Maceo Plex will deliver an electrifying set steeped in deep, driving techno and immersive sound – a masterclass in dancefloor hypnosis. Meanwhile, rising star EREZ offers an unmissable performance that pushes sonic boundaries, blending raw electronica with industrial textures in a set designed to stir both mind and body.
Pulse of Gaia and Re:wild: an alliance for the future of the planet
Pulse of Gaia is an event conceived as a deep connection between music and nature, fusing global sounds with the mission of contributing to the protection of our planet. Presented by the prestigious Zamna Group and the biodiversity conservation organisation Re:wild, and held at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM), Pulse of Gaia will channel the pulse of the Earth through stages hosting a wide variety of genres and styles. Generation-defining avant-garde artists will come together for a truly immersive journey of music and emotion, harnessing the deep and relentless energy of the underground.
Pulse of Gaia is not just a musical event, it is a celebration of Mother Earth, a festival that reimagines the dance floor as a sacred space where nature, light and sound merge. From cutting-edge visual installations to state-of-the-art sound design, every detail is designed to awaken the senses and connect with the rhythm of the world.
In alignment with this vision, Pulse of Gaia is partnering with Re:wild, a global conservation nonprofit, to foster awareness and action around nature conservation. Thus, the festival will donate 2 euros from each ticket sold to the organisation, contributing to the development of its work on behalf of the planet. Through talks and on-site activations, Re:wild will also help amplify the message of protecting our planet’s ecosystems and biodiversity.
Wes Sechrest, CEO of Re:wild said: “Every living thing has an important role to play in its respective ecosystem, including humans. We are grateful to Zamna for supporting wildlife, wild places, and the people who protect them by donating 2£ per ticket sold to Re:wild. This will allow us to continue our work supporting nature, which is the most effective solution to our interconnected climate, biodiversity, and human wellbeing crises”.
A celebration of the Earth through music
In short, Pulse of Gaia offers a unique opportunity to celebrate the pure energy of the planet through sound, unity and movement. It is the beginning of something elemental, a one-night journey under the Madrid sky to the sound of rhythm and reconnection, which will leave an indelible mark on the souls of all attendees and on the Earth itself.
Pulse of Gaia aims to be more than just a music festival. It is a multi-sensory experience that fuses electronic sound with stunning visual art, creating a deep connection between the audience, technology and the natural world.
Pulse of Gaia takes place 20th September 2025 in Madrid, featuring one-off headline performance by Gorillaz, Thundercat, Maceo Plex and EREZ, with more to be announced soon. Tickets are on sale now and available here: https://www.fourvenues.com/pulse-of-gaia-festival-madrid/U1O5
