TOAST ANNOUNCES FIRST EVER

UK & IRELAND TOUR FOR AUTUMN 2026

THE USA’S NO.1 TRIBUTE TO BREAD ARE HEADING OUR WAY IN SEPTEMBER

Toast - the USA’s No.1 tribute band to the magical Seventies hit sounds of Bread - have today announced they will visit our shores to play their first ever UK & Ireland tour in autumn 2026.

Dedicated to keeping the timeless sound and spirit of Bread alive, Toast recreates those unforgettable lush harmonies and smooth stylings with incredible accuracy and warmth. Audiences rave about how remarkably close their live performances sound to the band’s original records, taking concertgoers on a nostalgic journey through songs that stir the heart and lift the soul – from tender ballads to feelgood classics that have everybody on their feet.

A fan of Bread and soft rock (now more commonly referred to as ‘yacht rock’) from an early age, Toast frontman Jeff Clark would sing along to his favourite Bread albums and envisage himself singing on-stage as a guest performer with his heroes. Whilst that dream never happened, he now has the honour of the next best thing – performing his idols’ songs for appreciative audiences the world over with Toast.

As Jeff says, “This first UK & Ireland tour is an important milestone for Toast. We’re ready to celebrate the music of Bread with UK & Ireland audiences the only way we know how — authentically, passionately and with deep respect for the songs that mean so much to so many people.”

Performing live in the UK & Ireland for the very first time, tickets are on-sale now for the following shows;

21 September Bury St Edmunds – The Apex TICKETS

22 September Milton Keynes – The Stables TICKETS

23 September Buxton Opera House TICKETS

Between 1970-1977, Elektra Records signed California band Bread (led by vocalist & multi-instrumentalist David Gates) scored an impressive 13 hits on the US Billboard Top 100 chart, with their 1970 smash “Make It With You” securing the coveted No.1 spot. Five of those singles also hit the UK Top 40, with the band’s career-spanning 1977 compilation album ‘The Sound Of Bread’ reaching No.1 on the UK Official Album Chart. As Rolling Stone magazine said; “Bread virtually invented soft rock in the early Seventies, and the group’s biggest hits - “Make It With You,” “If,” “Baby I’m-a Want You” and “Everything I Own” – remain staples on lite-rock radio.”

Talking further this summer’s first ever UK & Irish tour, Toast frontman Jeff Clark continues; “Every time we step on stage, we feel that addictive synergy whereby the music we're playing and the enthusiastic reaction of the audience pulses through our veins. We're so excited to finally experience that same synergy with UK & Irish audiences - the land where Bread once walked, decades ago.”

With David Gates and Robb Royer - the two surviving members of Bread - now happily retired and spending time with their families, the baton has been passed to Toast to keep the legacy of Bread alive in the 21st century via their feelgood live show which features all the hit songs fans know and love.

Toast are; Jeff Clark (lead vocals, guitar, keyboard), Brett Hart (drums, percussion, vocals), Rich Bischoff (lead guitar), Ken Shumway (bass, vocals), Troy Jolley (keyboard, percussion, vocals) & John Hanson (guitar).
