All Points East is excited to announce that FKA twigs will headline the West Stage on Saturday 23 August, joining RAYE for her monumental All Points East headline show.
One of the most brilliant and visionary artists of her generation, twigs’ addition makes this already incredible female-led line-up even more special. twigs joins a masterful billing that includes a London-exclusive performance from Tyla, plus JADE, Jyoty, Nao, Montell Fish, Cat Burns and many more. This follows the announcement that Doechii will no longer be able to perform at the festival.
The announcement comes as she’s preparing to enter her next era with the release of her new album, EUSEXUA Afterglow. This follows her acclaimed third studio album EUSEXUA, which was released in January and hailed by Pitchfork as “a masterful pop-star moment for the artist.” During twigs’ recent summer European tour, she teased on stage: “New music – I am full and abundant and ready to give birth. Her name is ‘Afterglow’. And my labour shall commence next month.”
The first excerpt came with her latest single ‘Perfectly’, an uptempo dance-pop track that has set the tone for what will be one of the year’s most exciting records. She also recently surprised fans by joining Rosé at BLACKPINK’s first ever Wembley Stadium show.
Since releasing her debut EP EP1 in 2012, FKA Twigs has forged a singular career at the intersection of music, dance, cinema, art and fashion. All of this comes together in her live shows, where breathtaking choreography, immersive visuals and hauntingly powerful vocals create a truly otherworldly experience. Her innovative creativity has earned her global acclaim, numerous accolades and a devoted international following. She has collaborated with a vast array of artists from The Weeknd, Ty Dolla $ign, Skrillex, A$AP Rocky, Yung Lean to Headie One, Fred again.. and Central Cee.
Her 2022 mixtape CAPRISONGS was widely praised, with The Independent noting it as “the richest and catchiest melodies twigs has written so far.” The project also earned her the NME Godlike Genius Award, making her the youngest ever recipient. Following its release, twigs has debuted as a solo dancer with the Martha Graham Company in New York, graced the cover of British Vogue and received the Outstanding Contribution to UK Music Award from the Music Producers Guild.
With her boundless artistry and unmatched stage presence, FKA twigs’ set at All Points East will be nothing short of a landmark moment.
